PURIFICATION

VALBIO, as an expert in implementation of anaerobic and aerobic granular technologies, developed a compact process allowing carbon recovery (METHACORE®) but also the treatment of very high concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus typical of dairy effluents (GSBR®) to allow discharge of effluents to the environment.

 

ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

The biogas produced is primarily used to supply the dairy's boiler. VALBIO solutions, in most cases, allow cheesemakers to become self-sufficient in terms of energy needs, thanks to their effluents. Fossil energy (electricity, oil, propane, etc.) will only be used when energy consumption is exceptionally high.

 

COGENERATION ELECTRICITY / HEAT

When the biogas energy is greater than the dairy's consumption, or when the site already has a renewable energy source (biomass boiler, solar panels, etc.), VALBIO then offers biogas combustion solutions in co-generation electricity and heat. The resulting electricity is sold to a favorable rate, while hot water and/or steam produced from the cooling of the motor and the combustion gases are sent to the dairy to be used in the manufacturing process.
